Course Description
This is not your typical road race or trail run! The entire race will be off-pavement, and will wind through a combination of farmland and beautiful woods. The course consists of a nice combination of flats and hills. T-shirts All paid registrants will receive a super-soft race t-shirt on race day. We will do our best to have enough shirts on hand for race-day registrants. If t-shirts run out, some race-day registrants may have to pick up t-shirts or have them mailed. Prizes Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall male and female as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ Parking There is ample parking on site. Timing The race will be manually timed. Frequently Asked Questions Q: When can I pick up my bib number? A: You can pick up your packet race day starting at 7:00 AM, or you can avoid the lines and pick up your packet at Big Peach Running Co. in Kennesaw on Thursday, May 31st, from 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM. The address is 1625 Ridenour Boulevard, Kennesaw, GA 30152. Q: Are dogs allowed? A: Due to some narrower areas on the trail, we ask that you not bring pets. Q: Is the course stroller friendly? A: Unfortunately, no. Q: Will there be a water station on the course? A: Yes, and due to a loop in the course, you'll pass it twice at around the 1 mile and 2 mile marks. Q: Are you considering a 10K option? A: Still under consideration! We need to know if there is interest. New for 2017, we have added a 1K Junior Fun Run for age 10-and-under runners. Q: The race is on a farm. Do I need a 4x4 to park there? A: No! There's plenty of easy parking that's accessible to all vehicles. |
RACE OPTIONS
General Registration Run or walk the 5K and earn your t-shirt and bottle of sweet tea. This is one of the best deals in town! Register for just $25 from now through May 30. You may also register onsite for $30 the morning of the race (based on availability). Sweet Tea Junior A 1K Fun Run for our 10-and-under racers! This run takes place at 8:00 a.m., before the Sweet Tea 5K. Participants receive a race t-shirt. (Parents or older siblings may accompany the junior runner at no additional cost.) Sweet Tea Junior Pricing: $20 now through May 30.
